The Carpenters Center for Health offers a wide range of services to meet your unique needs. As your health ally, we focus on your overall wellness through preventive care, managing chronic conditions and more, rather than simply treating the symptoms that bring you in for a sick visit. Your providers will give you the convenient, quality care you need all in one place – in-person or virtually. They are also experts in coordinating care, which means they can refer you to specialists when needed and make sure nothing is overlooked.

Primary Care

We offer a comprehensive range of primary care services that focus on your long-term health and preventive care. Your primary care provider will get to know you and your family, so they are better equipped to prevent, treat and manage any health issues that may come up. The best part? You can schedule same-day, next-day and virtual appointments and message your provider on your secure patient portal, My Premise Health. Physical Therapy

You don’t have to live with pain and discomfort. Our physical therapists are dedicated to your wellbeing. They work with your primary care provider to understand your specific health needs and conditions. They’ll get to the root cause of your injury and work with you to prevent future complications, so you can get back to moving with ease.

We offer a full range of services for you and your family, in-person or virtually, that include therapeutic exercise and conditioning, pre- and post-operation rehabilitation, ergonomics evaluations onsite or virtually, orthopedic rehabilitation, health management and awareness education.

Women's health

Women have unique healthcare needs. Your provider will spend time getting to know you, or the women in your life, to best understand your health goals. They’ll come up with a personalized care plan to support your long-term health. Along with general primary care services, we offer the following specifically for women’s health: breast cancer screenings, pregnancy testing, pelvic exams, contraception counseling, STD testing and counseling, cervical cancer screenings (Pap smears), LGBTQ+ care, comprehensive family care, hormone therapy and education for self-awareness.

Women’s health services are available for all Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council members and their eligible dependents.

Condition management

You don’t have to navigate your health alone. With our condition management services, you and your family can get the support you need to manage your conditions and take control of your health.
Your provider will come up with personalized treatment strategies to help you make positive lifestyle changes to prevent, improve, manage or even reverse certain
health issues

Our treatment plans are tailored to meet your unique needs and can address a range of conditions, such as asthma, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes and pre-diabetes, low back pain and more. We can provide

one-on-one coaching, disease specific education, self-care training and condition management tactics, diet guidelines and physical activity goals, medication counseling and preventive and ongoing monitoring to manage your conditions and help you and your family stay well.

Vaccines

Vaccines are an essential part of public health. You have convenient access to many vaccines at the Carpenters Center for Health. Your provider can determine which ones are right for you and your family based on your age, conditions, travel habits and other factors. You can then easily schedule an appointment or simply walk in to get your vaccines.

We offer a variety of routine vaccines to protect your health and community, including Influenza, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), MMR, Pneumococcal, Tdap/Td, Varicella and Zoster.

Lab services

To support you and your family’s needs, we offer clinical lab services that include onsite testing and specimen collections for offsite processing. Our turnaround time for processing routine lab tests is typically 24 to 48 hours. You can receive your results electronically through your My Premise Health patient portal or during an in-person or virtual follow-up appointment with your provider.

We can perform and process the following lab tests onsite: glucose or lipid testing, rapid strep testing, influenza testing, urine pregnancy testing, urine dip screenings and rapid mono testing.

Mental Health

At Carpenters Center for Health we believe that your mental and emotional wellbeing are just as important as your physical health. With our mental health services, you and your eligible dependents can get the support you need. Your licensed counselor will actively work as part of your care team to support your overall health while making you feel safe and comfortable. You can conveniently reach them in-person or virtually, through video or by phone.*

With a blended approach of counseling techniques and evidence-based talk therapy, our behavioral health counseling services cover anxiety, depression, stress management, PTSD, ADHD, grief, adjustment challenges, substance abuse, work/life balance, family conflict and sleep issues. Provider Dispensing

Skip the extra trip to the pharmacy. You can get your medications at little to no cost directly from your provider during a visit. Simply schedule an appointment, discuss your health needs and leave with your medication in hand.

The Carpenters Center for Health carries close to 100 medications to cover your needs. This includes over-the-counter options. You can even get up to a 90-day supply for ongoing prescriptions to reduce the number of times you need a refill. When you’re about to run out, schedule a follow-up visit with your provider. Chiropractic

Chiropractic care addresses the whole body while simultaneously reducing pain and restoring function to avoid unnecessary, costly surgeries. Using holistic, integrative methods, we treat neuromusculoskeletal conditions through comprehensive evaluation, chiropractic adjustments, and rehabilitative procedures.

Whether at home or on campus, high-quality care is
always nearby. Providers combine an evidence-based
approach with education and movement strategies virtually or in person. Appointments range from 30-60 minutes and include evaluations for new members and follow-up care for ongoing treatment.

Carpenters Center for Vision

The Carpenters Center for Vision is located in Suite 200 in the same building as the Carpenter Center for Health. It is managed by VSP and available to eligible members, retirees, and their dependents.

Good eye health is vital to your overall wellness, which is why we offer a full range of vision care to you and your eligible dependents. Our team can meet all your eye-care needs with our state-of-the-art equipment all within The Carpenters Center for Vision. You can check another office visit off your list and get the care you need all under one roof.

Our vision services include a FREE WellVision Exam, the ProTec Safety Program for safety glasses for a $10 copay. Note: Transition lenses are not covered under the $10 copay, a WellTech fit for frame measurement, a FREE retinal screening, affordable frames for the whole family.
