We offer a comprehensive range of primary care services that focus on your long-term health, including sick and preventive care and management of your chronic conditions. Your primary care provider will get to know you so they are better equipped to prevent, treat and manage any health issues that may come up. The best part? Care management

You don’t have to navigate your health challenges alone. With our care management services, you can get the support you need. This no-cost benefit provides a registered nurse as your care manager to be a go-to resource for all health-related questions, prescription guidance and more. They will come up with personalized treatment plans to help you make positive lifestyle changes to prevent, improve, manage or even reverse certain health issues.

Our treatment plans are tailored to meet your unique needs and can address a range of conditions, such as asthma, high blood pressure, diabetes and pre-diabetes, low back pain and more. We can provide one-on-one coaching, disease-specific education, self-care training, diet guidelines and physical activity goals, medication counseling and preventive and ongoing monitoring to manage your symptoms and help you stay well.

Women's health

We understand a woman’s healthcare needs are unique. Your provider will spend time getting to know you to best understand your health goals. They’ll come up with a personalized care plan to support your long-term health.

Along with general primary care services, we offer the following specifically for women’s health:

  • Breast cancer screenings
  • Pelvic exams
  • Cervical cancer screenings (Pap smears)

Vaccines

Vaccines are an essential part of public health. You have convenient access to many vaccines at the City of Ocala Employee Health Center. Your provider can determine which ones are right for you and your eligible dependents based on your age, conditions, travel habits and other factors. You can then easily schedule an appointment or simply walk in to get your vaccines.

We offer a variety of routine vaccines to protect your health and community, including:

  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Pneumococcal (Pneumonia, Meningitis, etc.)
  • Tdap/Td (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis/Whooping Cough)
  • Zoster (Shingles)

Lab services

We offer many lab services to support your needs. We can perform onsite testing and can also collect and send samples to an offsite lab. Our turnaround time for processing routine lab tests is typically 24 to 48 hours. You can receive your results electronically through your My Premise Health account or during an in-person or virtual follow-up appointment with your provider.

We can perform and process the following lab tests onsite:

  • Rapid strep testing
  • Influenza testing

Occupational health

Keeping you safe at work is a top priority, which is why we offer a full suite of occupational health services. Your providers at the City of Ocala Employee Health Center are here to treat work-related injuries and illnesses to help you get back to feeling well.

Our occupational health services are available for all City of Ocala employees and include:

Wellness coaching

The City of Ocala Employee Health Center offers wellness coaching to help improve your overall wellbeing. Our certified wellness coaches will meet you where you are and help you make actionable goals to build new skills and make positive lifestyle changes. All coaching sessions are completely confidential and can take place virtually or in-person.

Our wellness coaches address a variety of lifestyle needs, including weight and stress management, nutrition coaching, physical activity routines, tobacco cessation, work/life balance and life satisfaction. They will help you reach your wellness goals through individual wellness coaching and goal setting, group education and lifestyle management programs, corporate challenges, and health and nutrition promotion through seminars, health fairs, meditations and podcasts. Wellness coaching is available virtually for all City of Ocala Eligible Employees and their eligible dependents.

Provider-dispensed medications

Skip the extra trip to the pharmacy. You can get your medications at no cost directly from your provider during a visit. Simply schedule an appointment, discuss your health needs and leave with your medication in hand.

The City of Ocala Employee Health Center carries close to 200 medications to cover your needs. This includes over-the-counter options. You can even get up to a 90-day supply for ongoing prescriptions to reduce the number of times you need a refill. When you’re about to run out, schedule a follow-up visit with your provider. We are the nation’s leading provider of direct healthcare, which means we partner with companies to offer their employees high-quality in-person and virtual health services. We are here as your health ally to help you get, stay and be well. We do this with experience, and by shifting the focus from treatment to prevention, empowering you to make health and wellness a priority.

Members are what we call our patients. If your employer has partnered with Premise Health to provide access to our wellness centers and services, you’re automatically considered an eligible member. There is no membership fee to get started. It also reflects how much we value our care relationship with you, because to us, you’re more than just a patient – you’re a member.

City of Ocala Employee Health Center is staffed, managed and operated by Premise Health. Your medical staff includes a combination of physicians, nurses, medical assistants, registered dietitians and wellness coaches. Each staff member has been carefully screened and is qualified to deliver exceptional care. City of Ocala Employee Health Center is not staffed or managed by the City of Ocala or their employees in any way.

No. To use the center you must be covered by the city’s insurance plan.

Services are available to all employees, retirees, and dependents at least 8 years of age covered by the city’s insurance plan.

Your personal health information is confidential, and your data is kept secure. Premise Health operates in accordance with HIPAA and works diligently to protect all health records. We can’t share any personal health information with your employer or anyone else without your permission unless it pertains to a work-related health injury. Premise Health also operates through a private network and software systems that cannot be accessed by other members or company staff. The easiest way to make an appointment is through your online member portal. Visit mypremisehealth.com to set up your account and then schedule appointments online or through your My Premise Health mobile app.

You can also call (352) 663-9156 or visit during regular center hours to make an appointment.

The preferred method is to schedule an appointment ahead of time. Same-day appointments are available first come first serve. Walk-in appointments are not available.

My Premise Health is a secure online and mobile tool that puts your health information in your hands. It connects you with your healthcare experience by providing convenient access to schedule and manage appointments, message your providers, conduct virtual visits, view your lab results, request medication refills and more.

It is best to schedule appointments in advance, as same-day appointments are not always available. Please schedule refill appointments 7 – 10 days prior to taking your last dose. If you are sick, you can schedule the next available appointment and add yourself to our waitlist. If an earlier appointment becomes available, we will contact you.
