Your mental health matters.

Want to talk?

You’ve got support, wherever you are.

Your mental health is just as important as your physical health, and that means it has to be just as easy to access.

So, we’re making it easy.

Whether you’re dealing with stress or simply having a rough day, it can help to know you’ve got support.

Virtual counseling is a service you get through your Premise Health-operated wellness center, which is provided by your employer. This service brings the specialists to you, so that you can get personalized, confidential care, where you feel the most comfortable.

With virtual counseling, it’s easier to bring your mental wellbeing to the top of the priority list. You won’t have to wait months for an initial appointment and can even schedule appointments in advance, so no matter what you’re dealing with, you know you’ve got care coming. This care is also completely private. We don’t share your personal health information with anyone.

Virtual counseling is here to support you with:

Virtual counseling isn’t meant for crisis care. If you’re experiencing a mental health emergency, please go to the nearest emergency department or dial 911. For a non-emergency mental health crisis, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at (800) 273-8255 (800-273-TALK) or text “HOME” to 741741.

You don’t have to wait for a bad day.

When you’d like to make a virtual counseling appointment, all you need is your My Premise Health account. If you don’t have one, it’s easy to sign up.

Once you’ve signed in to your account, simply:

Click “Schedule an Appointment”

Select “Behavioral Health” and choose a provider and time

Virtual counseling makes it easy to find a provider who truly suits your needs. Rather than spending hours navigating insurance and figuring out which providers are taking new patients, you’ll have access to providers who specialize in giving compassionate, personalized care.

We’re here for members like you:

The work [my provider] has me doing for self-compassion and care is life changing. I’ve been able to cut out a negative self fulfilling prophesy from my life – it’s a game changer. I am forever grateful for my time and continued time with them.

– Premise Health Member

I’m so glad you are offering this to employees. I knew I needed to speak to someone and was scared but the comfort I felt after speaking [to my provider] the first time, I realized it wasn’t so bad.

Mental health matters because you matter.

Mental health is part of your wellbeing, like your physical health, and it’s just as worthy of care. Virtual counseling is similar to in-person counseling in many ways. You get the same comprehensive, whole-person care you’d get at a Premise Health wellness center, plus it offers flexible appointment times and is a less expensive option than what you’d find in the community.

Whether you’re in person or virtual, you can get support with:

But our mental health services are also there to help you gain:

The biggest difference is simply where you talk.

Rather than go to a Premise Health wellness center to meet with a mental health provider, our secure member portal allows you to meet with a provider wherever works and feels best for you.

Just like in a wellness center, the appointments you make and the conversations you have with your provider stay completely private. We don’t share any personal health information with anyone without your permission.

From helping you build healthy habits to consistent treatment, we’ll take care of you – body and mind.

Our compassionate providers are here to listen.

Whether you’re dealing with daily stress, want to explore treatment options for depression or simply need to talk, our compassionate providers are ready to listen.

In addition to providing personalized care unique to your needs, background, culture and challenges, they’ll work with the rest of your Premise Health care team to make sure that all parts of your wellbeing are taken care of.

Meet our virtual mental health providers:

Everyone involved in my care…have been exceptional. They have been kind, compassionate and clear with my care and I feel in charge of my own care and appreciate how they work together so each aspect of my care is covered.

– Premise Health Member

If you’re looking for mental health support, you’re not alone.

Easy to schedule appointments, friendly staff, overall great experiences and convenient going to appointments between/after work hours.

I am incredibly grateful for [my provider’s] support and the safe, supportive environment they have created. The thoughtful approach has significantly impacted my outlook during a difficult time. I feel more positive about myself, less lonely, and empowered to explore my experiences deeply.

[My provider’s] professional yet compassionate presence has been instrumental in my progress, helping me gain insights, develop coping skills, and grow personally. I truly appreciate the positive and supportive relationship we’ve built, and I look forward to continuing to work with them.

Here’s what else you need to know:

How do I make an appointment?

It’s easy to schedule a visit with our high-quality providers. Either give your center a call or sign on to your My Premise Health account, select “Schedule an Appointment” and choose “Behavioral Health.” From there, you can choose the type of visit you want and fill in the rest of your information.

During your initial visit, your mental health provider will ask questions about your life and background, as well as the struggles you’re currently facing, to get to know you. You’ll go over the goals you want to achieve and specific milestones you’d like to reach. They will also go over what you can expect from them as your provider, and what you’ll need to know as you start your journey with them.

Unlike seeing a provider when you’ve got a cold or stomachache, when you start getting care for your mental health, there’s more of a journey. Here are a few things you can expect:

You might feel worse before you feel better.
Think of this as physical therapy, but for your mind. The exercises and treatments help you break out of your thought patterns or beliefs. Then, you’ll work with your therapist on forming new thought patterns that better serve you. This also means that for many people, counseling, therapy, diagnoses and even medications aren’t quick fixes. You are investing in yourself, and you deserve to have all the time you need to get to where you want to be.

Mental health support is collaborative.
You can use the time with your provider to talk about them on setting goals for yourself and thinking about how you’ll measure your success.

This is something you have to do for yourself.
In the same way that you’d go to the gym or eat fruits and vegetables to be good to your body, nobody can make you go to therapy and expect positive results. This is something you do for yourself.

Needing support for mental health doesn’t mean you’re weak.
In fact, it means the total opposite. Everybody has bad days, but not everybody has the strength and courage to say that they need help. If you reach out, if you ask for help, if you decide that your thought patterns are no longer serving you, then you’ve already proven how strong you are.

Our virtual mental health appointments can be scheduled from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.

Our mental health providers are here to make it easy for you to seek care for your mind, which is why they understand how important it is to be matched up with a provider who fits your needs. If you’d like to be paired with another mental health provider, you can message your provider through My Premise Health and let them know you’d like to switch. Then, you can make another virtual mental health appointment through My Premise Health with a different provider.

No. Currently, virtual mental health does not provide psychiatric services. If you would like to see your designated Premise Health wellness center’s in-person psychiatrist, you can either visit your center or make a virtual appointment with your center’s psychiatrist during the center’s regular business hours.

You can only see our virtual mental health providers via phone or video.

If you currently go into your Premise Health wellness center for your mental health appointments, your provider there may be able to see you virtually during the center’s regular business hours.

No, your employer will not have access to your health information.

Your personal health information is confidential, and your data is kept secure. Premise Health works diligently to protect all health records. We don’t share any personal health information with your employer or anyone else without your permission unless it pertains to a work-related health injury. Premise Health also operates through a private network and software systems that cannot be accessed by other members or company staff.

If you miss an appointment, connect with your provider as soon as possible to reschedule.

Just like with our other services, our mental health services are at a lower price than what you’ll typically find in the community. While the cost may vary, we can tell you up front what a visit is going to cost so that there are no surprise fees, or risk of added out-of-pocket costs due to providers moving out of the network.
