The care you need, when you need it
Whenever you need care, it's good to know you have options. With virtual care through Premise Health and Wake County Employee Health Center, you can get the same great care you receive at your wellness center, conveniently by phone or video.
Here are the virtual options available to you:
Phone or video appointments with an onsite provider during your center’s regular business hours
Connect with the same providers you know and trust from Wake County Employee Health Center during regular hours and continue to receive the highest quality care from the comfort of home. You can be seen virtually for many primary care needs*, as well as other services including wellness coaching, condition management and behavioral health.
Best for: Those who want to see their local provider without traveling to the wellness center.
In your My Premise Health account, select “Schedule an appointment,” indicate the reason for your visit and choose whether you’d like to be seen by phone or video.
*Depending on your care needs, your provider may request that you schedule an in-person visit in place of a virtual appointment.
24/7 access to care anytime, anywhere
With virtual primary care through Premise Health, you have convenient phone and video access to a dedicated provider for your preventive and ongoing care. It’s just like seeing a primary care provider (PCP) in person, but without the waiting room, commute or disruption to your day. Designate one of our virtual providers as your PCP and they’ll become your trusted health ally to help support you along your wellness journey.
Best for: Members who prefer to receive care in a virtual setting with the same dedicated provider for every visit.
In your My Premise Health account, select “Get care now” and we will connect you to the next available provider. If you are not able to connect to your My Premise Health account, you may call the dedicated phone line for Wake County Virtual Primary Care at (844) 423-7343.
Ongoing care with a designated virtual primary care provider (PCP)
You also have on-demand access to a team of virtual providers available 24/7. These providers are all connected through the My Premise Health app, which means they have access to your health history and can easily communicate with your other Premise Health providers.
Best for: When you need to see a provider after hours or while traveling away from home.
