Dr. Michael Springer, MD, Medical Director

Dr. Springer is a board-certified family physician with 30 years of experience in medicine, along with an undergraduate degree from the University of Chicago, a medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, and residency training in family medicine at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL.

 

Patient Care Philosophy:

Dr. Springer’s focus remains on delivering comprehensive and patient-centered care.

 

How I stay well:

Outside of work, Dr. Springer enjoys exploring new cultures through travel and savoring the diverse flavors of ethnic cuisines. He also enjoys running and making his own kombucha. He believes in bringing a holistic and well-rounded perspective, shaped by years of dedicated practice in family medicine, and is eager to connect with the Utica community, both professionally and personally.

Jennifer Hoffman, MSN, APN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC

Jennifer is a nurse practitioner from the Illinois Valley area. Jennifer became a registered nurse in 2002 after graduating from Illinois Valley Community College. Jennifer worked at Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru, Illinois, and Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois as an RN. Jennifer worked at Perry Memorial Hospital in the emergency department as a bedside nurse and a coordinator. Jennifer graduated from Northern Illinois University with her BSN in 2007. In 2015, she graduated with an MSN with a focus as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She worked in a family practice clinic and prompt care setting in Princeton for 3 years. Jennifer continued her education with a post-master’s certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and worked for 6 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections system. 

 

Jennifer is passionate about educating the members and families about wellness and chronic medical conditions in order to achieve optimal health outcomes in order to live their best possible lives.

 

Patient Care Philosophy:

Jennifer is dedicated to listening to her patients and helping them understand their medical conditions. Jennifer believes health and wellness are super important to everyone’s health and life journey and looks forward to assisting them to achieve their goals and understand the importance of being proactive.

 

How I stay well:

Jennifer enjoys lifting weights and exercising in general, riding her motorcycle (street glide), and spending time with her children and granddaughter.

Dr. Jim Womick – BS, DC, CCSP , CSCS, Chiropractic Physician

Dr. Jim Womick graduated from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1994. He earned a bachelor’s degree in human biology and went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic at Logan. In 1997, Dr. Womick completed his postgraduate training in sports injuries and physical fitness and is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician. Dr Womick is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He has practiced for over 30 years in several different styles of care, from solo practice to multidisciplinary practices, working alongside physical therapists, massage therapists, orthopedic surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and athletic trainers. He enjoys working as a team to treat active individuals of all types. 

 

Patient Care Philosophy:

Dr. Womick believes in problem-based, patient-centered care that uses the body’s natural healing ability to achieve health and wellness without the use of drugs and surgery whenever possible.

 

How I stay well:

In addition to getting regular chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Womick enjoys hiking, lifting weights, and playing various sports – especially football and soccer. He also enjoys listening to music and spending as much time in nature as possible with his friends and family.
